If your student was not able to have their picture taken on the original July picture day, please sign up here to have their picture taken on Friday 9/14. We are asking that you sign up by Wednesday 9/12 so we can have an idea of how many students will be getting pictures taken.

All parents: An email from the Boosters is being sent today, Thursday, Sept 6. If it’s Friday, Sept 7 and you have not received an email, please:

  1. Use the Resources / Charms Instructions to add your email into Charms, and/or
  2. Use the Contact Us link to email your name, email and child’s name / instrument / year for us to help you

The photos taken on July 28th are available for families that wish to purchase them.  A make-up day will be scheduled for those families that wish to have an individual photo taken.  We do not have that date scheduled yet.  Click here for instructions to access and order pictures. Unique Photo Buttons
When ordering buttons, please note the separate image with the overlaid text and musical note. This file was uniquely created for this year’s band and is designed specifically for photo buttons.

Avoiding Unsatisfactory Results
Using the photo button image for wallets or other small prints will produce an unsatisfactory crop that cuts off portions of the text or creates excessive white space if the image is reduced to fit into the printing area. Likewise, using the photo button image for a large print will result in unsatisfactory quality as the finite number of pixels are degraded as the file is enlarged.

8/19 Parent drivers needed for the Blitz – 5:30-8pm

We rely on the funds raised during the Blitz (the combined UA marching band and UA Orchestra) fundraiser as our primary source of funding for the year.  We can’t do it without parent drivers.  Signup to spend 2-3 hours with your kids and their friends as you chaperone this fun event.

8/24 Volunteers needed for After-Party

This is a great way to meet other parents and spend time with the students.  This has been a tradition for years and the kids truly appreciate this social event.  Please consider offering just 2 hours of your time to volunteer.

8/31 Findlay away game-UAMB will not perform at this game

It has been determined that the band will NOT travel to the Findlay game on 8/31.  Many factors went into this decision; the primary issue being travel time (4:15 departure, rush hour traffic on 23 north, etc…).  Thank you to those who’d signed up to chaperone, we encourage you to volunteer for another activity, much help is still needed.

Labor Day Weekend

Mr. Fessler will send out a communication regarding performances for both the Golden Bear Bash and the Labor Day Arts Festival.

 

UAHS Band Program
